“ I have been eating here for several years. The food is delicious, although I usually get the same thing every time. Pork schnitzel with gravy, stewed red cabbage and cucumber dill salad. Service is good and friendly. They usually have sports games on the tvs. Food is great and very consistent. ”
“ Second time here. Food was awesome, fresh and pretty fast. Owners are really cool. Atmosphere is nice. ”
“ Always great food and an extensive beer selection. Our server was very attentive and helped with our beer selections. Great local options for beer and only place I the area to get a good Reuben and good German food. ”
“ Great beer selection! I love the pork schnitzel and gravy/sauce. The service is quick and staff is friendly. It's fun, casual and a nice place for a family meal. ”
“ I didn't know what to expect before visiting this place, but I was pleasantly surprised by some of the German-inspired eats here! I ordered the smoked bratwurst plate, bacon deviled eggs, and also tried the Pork Schnitzel and Chicken fried chicken. The Bratwurst sausages were flavorful and juicy, and I really enjoyed eating the sausages with sauerkraut and dill mustard sauce. The portions for the pork schnitzel and chicken fried chicken were huge as well. They also have German-inspired beers imported from Fredericksburg! Definitely a nice atmosphere for relaxing with some good food and drinks. The only menu item I didn't like was the pickled red cabbage (it tasted weirdly kinda sweet). ”
“ My husband and I sat outside on a beautiful fall afternoon. Outside seating consists of a few picnic tables. Food was good. We both enjoyed our lunch. Our waitress was nice and efficient. We will be back when we are in the area. ”
“ I've had this place bookmarked for awhile now. It is located in a shopping strip near the Missouri City/Sugarland border. Plenty of parking. I met up with some friends who live close by. We enjoyed a few drinks outside before heading inside when our whole party arrived. Customer service was amazing from start to finish. Shannon took great care of us and gave great suggestions as well since I'm always indecisive. They have a pretty nice amount of beers on draft which are also neatly categorized. I knew I was in for a heavy meal so I went with a cold sour beer to cut through the richness of the food. My friends got a variety of mixed drinks and they loved them. We had the bar set low thinking beer is their thing, but they proved us wrong. I came in thinking I wanted a German meal, but scanned the room and saw a lot of people eating a burger or sandwich of some sort. My focus turned to that side of the menu and Shannon suggested the Big Shawn Sausage Burger. It was a cheeseburger cooked to order with a link of sausage on it. I went with the jalapeño cheddarwurst. This burger was fantastic! One of the better ones I've had in awhile. The burger was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. I thought the addition of sausage was odd at first, but after that first bite, I was hooked. It added another depth of flavor. I got sidewinder fries to go with it. These fries were also crazy good. They have about 5 fry options so I had a feeling they take pride in their fries. Overall, I'm mad I didn't come here sooner because this place is so good. I will definitely be back sooner rather than later! ”
“ I've eaten here a few times now. I almost exclusively sit at the bar. Here are some of things I like, some of things that are 'aight,' and some that aren't. Welcome to my TedTalk. PROs: they have great rotation on their beer taps. A lot of selection outside of what you'd normally get at other bars in the area. The cucumber side salad is a must try if you're a dill pickle lover like myself. The staff has generally been welcoming. The fried chicken schnitz sando is delicious. They play sports at the bar, which is one of the reasons I like me to come here. Aight: most of their food is fry heavy. I wish there were some, I don't want to say healthy per say, just more non-heavy food? It's very comfort forward. I've come here and gotten sides only before. Not cool: twice I've ordered something off the menu, and they've brought me something else. It's always been a side with my entree. But the lackadaisical responses, "oh, I guess we're out" set me off. Wouldn't you instead ask me if I wanted something else instead? Example, last time I ordered crinkle cut fries. They brought me the other fries. I didn't want them. Given the chance I would have ordered the tots over them. I don't eat fried food but maybe once a week. When I do, I want what I want. To me it's professional courtesy. At least tell me. Don't bring me something similar and expect me to be ok with it. Or tell me you're out and ask me what I want There are a lot of ways to go about it, but just bringing me something and expecting me to want it isn't cool. Rant over. All that said, I will go back. I have enjoyed what I've eaten and the atmosphere is family friendly. ”
“ I love burgers! I LOVE this place for burgers! My best friend from elementary and junior high and I had a burger here. We were both so happy during the meal, and sated. Then i was babysitting my 13 y.o. nephew. He and I ordered the double bacon burger. OMG. SO GOOD. My nephew is famished all the time, on his growth spurt. He savored it just as much as I did. We had to get to go because he had so much homework. TXB packs the food awesomely! Perfect amount of great lettuce tomato onion and fresh pickle. I swooned extra. Not an afterthought of sad measly burger fixings. And the burger --two full sized patties. The bacon had enough heft to also not come across as an afterthought. When my brother arrived back from his dinner date with his wife, apparently he asked his son about our burgers. --My brother was there the very next day, early-ish lunch, sending us a photo of his double bacon burger. Know you can request rare and medium rare for your burgers here! That's how confident and aware they are of their red meat being good. Y'all gotta come here. The fries are so amazing too! Cut and fried kinda like the Brits do. It has heft as well, yet a satisfying crispness and somehow fluff-to-the-heft texture. My nephew knew he loved the fries here. Now he and his dad are huge fans of their burger too. Like my childhood best friend and I. Service was kind and personable too as I waited for the to-go. Also, I think they have evening activities. Various tables were playing some game. This place is full of decent patrons, family friendly, neighborhood vibe, as well as staff who are good people, and real people. ”
“ My mom and I had just gotten a fantastic mani pedi at Maui nails and walked next door to try this place for a late lunch/early dinner (is that called "linner"?!). There were only a few other diners since it was too late for lunch but too early for dinner. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. I came in looking for a burger but when I saw the chicken fried steak on the menu, I had to try it. I haven't had a good one in years (since I live in CT) and I was quite hungry. The waitress assured us it was fantastic, so that's what I ordered. I'm in Texas, so of course it was MASSIVE and covered most of the plate. I was slightly disappointed when I saw it because the batter appeared to be made with breadcrumbs- like the kind of batter you'd see on fried catfish or something. But it was actually really good. The country gravy was fantastic with lots of pepper and the mashed potatoes were very flavorful. The green beans had a bit of a sear on them and were flavorful as well. I wanted to take home half of it so I'd have it for lunch the next day, but once I started in on it, I couldn't stop eating it. I'm embarrassed to say that I finished it! Our waitress said not many people eat the whole thing so when she saw that I had, she said "wow- respect!" It was really good. And did I mention I was really hungry?! My mom's Reuben was good- stuffed with lots of meat and melted cheese. She said it was a bit dry, but good. Her fries were fantastic- they were strangely cut and thick. Unique and very tasty! This place touts excellent sausage and brats- maybe I'll try that next time. ”
